Move over, Ace Trek Online, there's a new Lead Trek web enfranchisement coming to town! This time, it's going to be a series of free-to-roleplay web browser games. This morning, Gameforge announced that it had signed a worldwide agreement to publish "free-to-play casual web browser games" supported Gene Roddenbury's celebrated creation.

Exactly what type of games Gameforge is running on hasn't exactly been revealed yet, however. Supported the vague information provided, the games could be anything from Trekkie-oriented circuit card games to a matured MMOGs on the lines of Farmville.

"Our approaching Star Trek web browser games will foster expand our consumer base and market share on an international surmount," said Gameforge's Chief operating officer, Christoph Jennen. "We are self-aggrandizing that the lineament of our games and publishing services enabled us to acquire this license. Our upcoming Sensation Trek web browser games will further expand our consumer radica and marketplace share on an international scale."

An MMOG is definitely a possibility, since the newspaper publisher's portfolio includes titles equivalent Metin2, OGame, Ikariam, Bill Gates of Andaron, and Gladiatus, only it sounds like the gambling community will have to await to find out more about this deal until further details are officially revealed.
